Leh – Alchi – Leh – Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake – Thiksey Monastery – Leh
Explore Ladakh’s majestic landscapes and rich heritage. Begin with Sham Valley’s Likir and Alchi monasteries, Magnetic Hill, and Hall of Fame. Venture to Nubra Valley for camel safari and monastery visits. Witness the stunning Pangong Lake before returning to Leh via Hemis and Thiksey monasteries. Conclude with departure from Leh airport.
Arrival Leh in the morning and transfer to the hotel. Take complete rest for the day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). (O/N at hotel Dekiling Leh / Meal plan (B,D)
After breakfast, today you start driving to sham valley . On the way, visit the great statue of Maitreya Buddha in the Likir monastery and the 1000 -year old murals of Alchi monastery, listed among the best Buddhist miniature paintings. Enroute sightseeing Magnetic Hill or the gravity hill-a natural wonder of the region and the Military Hall of Fame- a museum and memorial of the war heroes that is established and managed by the Indian Army
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Post-lunch, enjoy the camel safari at Sand Dunes between Diskit & Hundur Village. Visit Disket Monastery and Maitreya Buddha (O/N at hotel Hunder Lodge & camp / Meal plan (B,D)
Early departure nubra, via shayok to pangong. After sightseeing around the beautiful Lake check-in at fixed tented camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back for 30 kms to Tangtse and check into Hotel / Guest House for overnight stay. (B,D)
After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest monastery of Ladakh. Later drive on to Leh, enroute visiting the picturesque hemis and Thiksey monastery. (O/N at hotel Dekiling Leh / Meal plan (B,D)
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home
